Stepping Stone Pre-School is located in residential neighborhood, giving us a warm and welcoming feel. The inside is cozy and full of kid-friendly homediversions, while the outside features a spacious playground. The school offers half-day and full-day programs to students between the ages of two to five, and children receive nap time each day to ensure that they remain alert and well rested for the remainder of the day.

We are a fully licensed center offering preschool programs for children ages 2 to 5.

Disguised as a fun place for kids to socialize, Stepping Stone has a purposeful environment that encourages learning through play. Our teachers are certified and every employee and volunteer undergoes a background check and security screening.

Statement of Policy

Stepping Stone is licensed to serve 33 children at any one time. We maintain a student:teacher ratio of 8:1.

Children between the ages of 2 years and 5 years are admitted for enrollment regardless of race, color, or religious belief. All children must be toilet trained and independent in the bathroon prior to enrollment.

Stepping Stone is open year-round from 7.30am to 6pm, with the exception of Federal and State holidays. The holiday dates for the school year are posted in the entranceway.

Stepping Stone does not provide care after 6pm for any reason. There is a late charge of $25 per ten minute or fraction thereof, paid directly to the closing teacher. If late pick-up or late tuition payment occurs more than once, your child’s place may be filled without notice or refund.

Health Policy

We can admit only healthy children. A child will not be admitted if he/she has symptoms of illness. Should a child become ill while at school, he/she will be isolated and a parent will be called to pick-up the child as soon as possible. Each family should submit two alternative contacts in case a parent cannot be reached.

A child with a contagious cold must be kept home until well. A child with symptoms such as fever, vomiting or diarrhea must be KEPT HOME A FULL 24 HOURS AFTER LAST APPEARANCE OF SYMPTOMS. All children must be kept home if unable to participate in a normal school day, including outdoor play. No medication may be given prior to school admittance that suppresses fever, cough, or other illness. In accordance with state law, no medication is given at school.

Please file written permission with your doctor for the school to obtain treatment if necessarv. ln the event of an accidental injury:

the school will attempt to contact a parent by telephone; if unable to,
the school will contact the child’s physician, if unable to,
the school will call the paramedics.
The family assumes responsibility for any expense incurred.
